Statement

Through weaving, architectural drawings, and moving images, my work examines the repetition of bodily movement and suggestive architectural space. My work seeks to create a space for contemplation, somewhere in-between comfort and disorientation. I weave floor plans and informational diagrams to depict the idea of space. Forms of domestic comfort invite viewers to interact, experiencing the unfamiliar through contact with the known. My flattened sculptures compress the volume and movement of bodies within architectural space, subtly suggesting the ground-level-ness of bodies.
